Sophie learned how to write her name! We were doing sidewalk chalk in the driveway last week and I somewhat jokingly told her to write her name. She asked how to spell it and viola...she wrote it! The S looks like a Z or lightning bolt and there is a mixture of uppercase and lowercase, but she did it nonetheless...and it is pretty legible. We are so proud of her! She was so excited to be able to write her name on this year's Father's Day cards, too.
Cooper is FINALLY using the potty! It was a slow, rough start with lots of tantrums, but we are seeing a lot of progress. We are not totally diaper-free yet, but we are getting there. This is Cooper's first potty chart sticker....the chart has many more stickers now! We are very proud of Cooper's efforts!
Other than these two breakthroughs, we have been trying to stay cool during these hot summer days. The kids have enjoyed every minute of it!

Sophie's new "pose"...she loves to pose with one or both hands on her hip/s! I am not sure where she learns these things?!?
The kids have also been keeping busy with soccer on Friday mornings. Sophie has been doing a great job of participating, but Cooper hasn't really played much. This week, he made it through practice, but took off his shoes before the game even started. I think he may be a bit too young this year, but maybe he will come around soon....who knows!?! We'll take what we can get. Did I mention Steve is the coach?
