Easter Weekend

This year we decided to spend Easter with Steve's side of the family. Although it was a short visit, we all had a wonderful time. Here is a recap of the weekend as well as lots and lots of pictures!

Friday:
We headed down to Staunton later in the afternoon and arrived just in time visit Nana, eat dinner, and hang out for a bit with PaPa. Sophie enjoyed relaxing with PaPa before bed while they watched The Wizard of OZ.

Saturday:
We spent most of the day visiting with family. Later in the day, we headed down to Fast Eddie's Bonair in Alton for some delicious, inexpensive food and a few drinks. Thanks to Erin and Ted (Sophie's godparents) for watching the kids!!! After the kids went to bed, we went over to Karen's for a night of food and games. We always have so much fun there!

Sunday:

In the morning, we went to church as a family (minus Cooper...he was napping). After church, we gave the kids their Easter baskets. Sophie's comment was "It's my birthday?" Needless to say, Daddy had to re-explain the concept of the Easter bunny to her.

Sophie's favorite thing in her basket were the M&M's...she doesn't get candy very often so when she is able to eat it, it disappears rather quickly! As you can see, Sophie also becomes VERY silly when she eats candy.

Later in the afternoon, we went to Karen's for Easter dinner where we were able to indulge in even MORE delicious food! Sophie and Cooper were also able to spend more time with their aunts, uncles, and cousins. They LOVE all of the attention!

After dinner, the kids went on an Easter egg hunt. Although it was a bit chilly outside, Sophie had a great time searching for eggs and putting them into her basket. She didn't really like picking up the eggs that were a little dirty, however she managed to collect 18 eggs! Thanks to Karen and the kids...oops....I mean the Easter bunny...for making Sophie and Cooper's Easter experience so special!

We hope your Easter was filled with many wonderful memories, too!
