We spent the majority of our time hanging out at the indoor water park, which consisted of three huge connecting rooms featuring water slides, splash and spray areas, a wave pool, kiddie pools, a lazy river, hot tubs, and much, much more! Although the resort had an outdoor water park as well, we didn't spend much time outside because it was pretty breezy and the water was very chilly. Fortunately, there were plenty of things for us to do indoors. In addition to spending time at the water park, we also went out for several delicious dinners and we hit the downtown Wisconsin Dells area. Overall it was a wonderful vacation and all of us had a blast! However, we were extremely exhausted and waterlogged when we came home. Although many of you have probably received the email I sent containing pictures from our vacation , I decided to post some to our blog as well. Enjoy!
First, the kids had to get all suited up for their water park experience...

Sophie was not a big fan of the water park at first because she was scared of the bucket that dumped water and made a huge splash. See below.

But after some time exploring, she got much more comfortable with her surroundings. Sophie even chose to go down the little water slides by herself as long as we were there to catch her at the bottom.

She even went down the big water slide a few times!

Sophie also had fun in the spray area!

She didn't really care for the wave pool, but she did stand by it to pose for a picture in her new bathing suit!

Cooper, on the other hand, loved everything about the water and was not the least bit hesitant to jump right into all of the activities. He got super excited going down the little water slides by himself. Many times he would accidentally slip onto his stomach, which meant he ended up guzzling quite a bit of water. Even so, Cooper was still full of smiles and laughs!

Cooper also enjoyed going down the big water slide...

swimming in the wave pool...

and running around in the splash area!

The adults had lots of fun at the water park, too! All of us enjoyed floating on the lazy river, going down the water slides, riding on the Tornado (somehow Steve convinced me to go on this scary water ride), swimming in the wave pool, and relaxing in the hot tub! It was an unbelievable place!

Since we had a kitchen in our condo, we ate breakfast and lunch in our room. We went out to dinner almost every night, which was a bit of a struggle with the kids. By the time the food got to the table, Sophie was pretty fussy and Cooper had began his screaming routine (not out of anger, but because he discovered he can scream really loud). I can't even begin to describe how loud and shrieky his scream is, but we are always turning heads when we go out in public! Below are some pictures of the kiddos while they were behaving at dinner.

After dinner, we walked around downtown Wisconsin Dells to check out all of the shops. There were tons of places to buy cheese, fudge, candy, moccasins, and souvenirs.

All in all, it was a wonderful vacation! Since we have visited an indoor waterpark for the past two years, it seems as if this may be evolving into an annual family tradition!

Thanks Papa John, for taking us to such a great place...we had a blast!
