10 random facts about Sophie....

Since none of the items below are enough for an entire blog post, I have decided to lump them together into this post called "10 random facts about Sophie". So, here they are...in no particular order. Enjoy!

1. Sophie now weighs a whopping 32 lbs., which is only two lbs. more than Cooper! She wears a size 4T, which is usually too big on her around her skinny waist, but the length is much needed for her looooongggg legs. Her legs kind of remind me of a baby giraffe, especially when she is wearing leggings.

2. Sophie recently went for her bi-yearly check-up at the dentist and has two cavities...thanks in part to her weak tooth enamel (did not develop properly in utero) and groovy molars! She also has a considerable overbite, which we will need to deal with down the road....guess we had better start saving for braces now! Below is a picture of Sophie after her dentist appointment. You can see her shirt is covered in stickers for being such a good patient. She also got to pick out two toys from the treasure chest and got a new princess toothbrush...no wonder she loves going to the dentist!

3. Sophie loves books! She likes when we read to her, but she really loves to read books to us that she has memorized.

4. Sophie can recognize many letters in the alphabet and is beginning to associate letters with people's names (for example: S is for Sophie).

5. Sophie really likes to hold onto and play with different coins and refers to a nickel as a "nickelodeon".

6. Sophie LOVES preschool! We recently went with Sophie to her school for open house where we were able to speak with her teacher, tour her classrooms, and see her artwork. Here she is with her new backpack, which was provided to her by the school.

7. Sophie is very neat and tidy and can often be found in her bedroom "cleaning up".

8. Sophie is really into clothes, shoes, purses, necklaces, hair accessories, and having her toenails and fingernails painted...very girly indeed!

9. Sophie has been pretty easy to reason with lately, although she still has her occassional fits and bouts of sassiness. We are happy that the word "no" doesn't automatically throw her into a temper tantrum as much as it used to.

10. Sophie has memorized the Pledge of Allegiance since reciting it each day at preschool. She often forgets the "one nation" and jumps right to "under God". Here is a video clip of her reciting the pledge...still not sure why she throws in an "Amen" at the end?!?
